Okay, so a bunch of really generous librarians allowed me to use some of their flickr pix for a class project. One of them (rightfully) inquired as to the absence of my own photos and my lack of participation in flickr. He got me there, but he still gave me permission to use his pix. :)
So, I started uploading some of my photos to flickr. But which ones? How do you choose what to upload? Do you upload everything? My inner librarian wants a complete collection, but my not-so-inner-and-definitely-over-protective mother doesn't want to post pix of the kids online. Also, as an aspiring school librarian, I'll be warning students not to post their photos and personal information online. Shouldn't I honor the same code of conduct? What to do?
While I'm at it, how do you organize your digital photos at home? Storage is not an issue--DH just bought me a 1TB external hard drive because I clogged up our internal drive with huge images and files. I'm wondering about a system for organizing and backing up photos. I've used several software products and haven't landed on the perfect system yet. Is there one?
